The Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure 2025 transformed the Orlando World Center Marriott into a hub of industry connections from March 6-8, bringing together nearly 3,500 produce professionals under the Hawaiian-inspired theme “Produce Means Family.”
For the first time, the event took place at this venue, creating a seamless experience with almost all activities under one roof.
The new venue proved to be a strategic choice, housing 307 exhibitors and attracting 659 retail, wholesale, and food service buyers.
Over three days, you bump into buyers all the time, this convenience created natural opportunities for meaningful conversations beyond scheduled meetings.
The Produce Leaders team had the opportunity to visit as press, and experienced the show in person.
Walking through the exhibition hall, attendees experienced both the professional energy of a trade show and the comfortable familiarity of reconnecting with industry colleagues.
The spacious layout allowed for productive business discussions while still maintaining the intimate atmosphere that has become the event’s trademark.
On the expo floor, business certainly happened, deals were discussed, and upcoming growing seasons were previewed.
Some exhibitors showcased new products, including innovative greenhouse tomato varieties and convenient organic mango fries, creating conversation-starters that bridged business and personal connections.
As attendees departed on Sunday after the Al Finch Memorial Prayer Breakfast, they carried with them not just business cards and potential deals but strengthened relationships that will support their work throughout the year until they return again for next year’s gathering.
