The Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) has officially opened applications for its fifth annual Next Generation Leadership Academy (NGLA), a program that aims to cultivate the next wave of leaders within the produce industry.
This year-long program is specifically designed for emerging leaders and offers a unique blend of conscious-leadership methodologies and practical skill-building.
Participants will engage in a mix of in-person gatherings and virtual learning sessions, providing them with the tools to navigate complexity and foster a growth-oriented mindset.
The NGLA program encompasses both the buy side and the sell side of the industry, bringing together participants from both sides of the produce industry.

The incoming class will be announced during the Keynote Brunch at Southern Exposure 2027, with the graduation ceremony set to occur at Southern Exposure 2028.

Additionally, candidates must be members in “Good Standing” with the SEPC, which requires inclusion in the membership roll and participation through attendance, contributions, or both.
Prospective participants should also possess a vision for leadership and a strong drive for contributing to the industry.
A compelling 2-minute video must accompany applications, detailing why they believe they are suitable candidates for the program.
